The Unique 17 was a further development of the Unique 16 by the Germans. At this variation was the magazine enhanced to 9 rounds.

Parts of the Unique 17 were produced in small lots. They were assembled by mounting numbers. The serial number was struck on the final parts after mounting. On this weapon the serial is found only one times. On the places, according to the literature, were the serial number should be, are the mounting numbers.
